Terms of Use
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Songfindr website and music licensing service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service
Songfindr is an online platform that lets creators, businesses, and organizations discover and license original music for their projects. We offer one-time licenses and subscriptions. The specific rights granted by each license are set out in the license terms presented at the point of purchase and in your license documents.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use Songfindr. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password confidential, and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
3. Licenses and use of the music
The music on Songfindr is owned by its artists and licensed - not sold - to you. When you obtain a license, you receive the specific usage rights described for that license tier, for the scope and territory stated. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Unless your license expressly allows it, you may not:
- Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or transfer the music as a standalone file or product.
- Claim ownership or authorship of the music, or register it with a content-identification or rights-management system as your own.
- Use the music in a way that exceeds the scope, audience, or territory of your license.
- Use the music to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
4. Payments and subscriptions
Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, and may vary by currency and region. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and your access continues until the end of the current paid period. A small processing fee may apply to certain one-time purchases and is shown before you pay.
A track you license while your subscription is active stays licensed for the projects you create and publish during your active subscription period - that coverage is permanent and survives cancellation. After your subscription ends, you may keep those projects online, but you may not use a previously downloaded track in a new project: any new use requires an active subscription or a one-time license. Publishing a project that uses a track not covered by an active subscription or a one-time license is not permitted.
5. Refunds
Because licenses grant immediate access to downloadable digital content, they are generally non-refundable once the content has been downloaded. Where the law grants you a right of withdrawal, or where a purchase was made in error or a technical problem prevented delivery, contact us at [email protected] and we will review your request in good faith.
If a payment is refunded in full or reversed through a chargeback, the corresponding license is cancelled with immediate effect and you must stop using the affected music, including in projects already published. A partial refund granted as a goodwill price adjustment does not affect your license.
6. Your content
You may favorite songs and create projects - private collections of music you can curate and share - within the service. You are responsible for the content you create and must not include anything unlawful or infringing. You grant us the limited right to host and display this content so we can provide the service to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to access it through unauthorized means, interfering with its operation or security, scraping or bulk-downloading content, or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or limit access to protect the service and its users.
8. Intellectual property
The Songfindr name, logo, website, and software are owned by the publisher or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our brand or software beyond using the service as intended.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or the law. Licenses you have validly obtained before termination remain valid according to their own terms, except where they were obtained fraudulently or in breach of these Terms.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution will be submitted to the competent courts of the publisher’s registered place of business, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s online dispute-resolution platform.
